The summer months have been wonderfully full for our family and ministry, bringing opportunities for connection, encouragement, and meaningful service.
We were blessed to participate in the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC ) Conference at Cedarville University, where we enjoyed reconnecting with longtime friends and forming new relationships with pastors and ministry partners. Each conversation reminded us of the shared heartbeat we have for getting God’s Word into the hands of those who need it most.
The warm weather has been a gift—we’ve loved every sunny day. We even made it to the beach a few times, which is truly our happy place. Summer also brought sweet moments with our children:
- Austin visited from Miami, giving us cherished time together.
- Sabrina moved back to Grand Rapids, and we were able to help her settle into her new place.
Our ministry travels included a visit to Montrose Baptist Church in Montrose, MI, where we were encouraged by rich fellowship and the joy of meeting new brothers and sisters in Christ.
A special highlight for Sandra this summer has been leading a women’s book club at our church, where the group is studying Extraordinary Women of the Bible. It has been a joy to gather with ladies, learning from Scripture and growing together in Christ.
Another blessing was participating in a consultant seminar at Bibles International, where we had the privilege of seeing our consultants as they went through training. It was encouraging to witness their dedication and the vital role they play in advancing global Bible translation.
As the season continues, we’re preparing for the Bibles International annual retreat. We look forward to gathering with our BI colleagues—sharing updates, strengthening relationships, and being refreshed together in the work of global Bible translation.
