One of ministry’s greatest blessings is the opportunity to meet believers, encourage local churches, and share how God is working around the world. Recently, we had the privilege of spending time in Indian River, Michigan, and the fellowship deeply encouraged our hearts.
During our visit, we worshiped alongside faithful brothers and sisters in Christ and heard about how God is at work in their community. The church family’s warm welcome and genuine love reminded us of the unity we share as members of God’s family.
A highlight of our visit was teaching the children’s Sunday School class. We shared the importance of Bible translation and why it matters that people can read God’s Word in the language they understand best. The children were excited to learn that while many of us have easy access to the Bible, millions of people around the world are still waiting to receive Scripture in their own language.
We talked about children like them who don’t yet have a Bible they can read and understand. It was encouraging to see their interest and compassion as they learned to pray for Bible translation efforts and for children around the globe to access God’s Word.
We left Indian River with grateful hearts, thankful for the opportunity to serve, worship, and fellowship together. We are especially thankful for the prayers, encouragement, and friendship we received during our time there.
Please continue to pray that God’s Word will reach every people group and every language, so that all may have the opportunity to know Him through the Scriptures.
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130
